  • Physical appearance

  • Habitat and range

  • Habitat and range

Unlike the black bears, these grizzly bears like to stay around open habitats like forests and alpine meadows. Therefore, you will see that grizzly bears are most commonly found in western North America. 

  • Behavior and diets

Grizzly bears are mostly known for their aggressive behavior since they cannot allow infiltration in their territories. In addition, grizzly bears like to eat a variety of foods, like different plants, insects, fish, and other mammals.

The reproduction process of grizzly bears is the same as that of black bears. The female grizzly bears give birth to 1 to 3 cubs in the winter. The cubs tend to stay with their moms for at least two years so that they can learn to hunt and survive.
